Removal Procedure

  1. Power the seat full forward and upward.

  2. Object Number: 401801  Size: SH

    Important: The power recliner switch is part of the seat adjuster switch. The power recliner switch is not serviced separately.

  3. Carefully pry the two forward switch knobs from the power seat switch.
  4. Remove the fasteners from the outer finish panel.
  5. Important: Carefully lift upward the outer finish panel from the retention clip located on the seat cushion frame.

  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  7. Remove the outer finish panel.

  9. Remove the fasteners from the power seat switch (1) to the outer finish panel (2).
  10. Remove the power seat switch pack.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power seat switch pack (1) to the outer finish panel (2).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fasteners in order to secure the switch pack.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 0.8 N·m (7 lb in).

  5. Position the outer finish panel (2) to the seat cushion.
  6. Connect the electrical connectors.

  7. Object Number: 696772  Size: SH

    Important: Ensure the outer finish panel (1) is secured to the retention clip on the seat frame (2) prior to tightening the fasteners.

  8. Secure the outer finish panel to the retention clip (2) on the seat cushion frame.
  9. Install the fasteners.

    Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  10. Install the two forward seat switch knobs.
  11. Push inward on the knobs until an audible click is heard.
  12. Reposition the seat.
