Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 696772  Size: SH
  1. Open the door.
  2. Position the seat full forward and upward.
  3. Remove the outer finish panel front and rearward fasteners (1).
  4. Lift the outer finish panel upward in order to disengage the finish panel (3) from center retention clip (2).

  5. Object Number: 696771  Size: SH
  6. Lower the outer finish panel.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) to the lumbar switch.
  8. Squeeze the retainers in order to release the lumbar switch (2) from the outer finish panel.
  9. Remove the lumbar switch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 696771  Size: SH
  1. Position the lumbar switch (2) into the outer finish panel.
  2. Apply inward pressure in order to seat the switch.
  3. Connector the electrical connector (1).
  4. Position the outer finish panel to the front and rear of the seat.

  5. Object Number: 696772  Size: SH
  6. Position the outer finish panel to the retention clip (2) located on the seat cushion frame.
  7. Apply downward pressure in order to secure the outer finish panel (3) to the seat cushion frame retention clip (2).
  8. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  9. Install the fasteners.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  11. Reposition the seat.
  12. Close the door.
