Removal Procedure
  1. Open the hood.

    2. Object Number: 366267 Size: SH
  2. Remove the left upper filler panel. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Upper .

    3. Object Number: 604072 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts that retain the left front gusset to the upper tie bar and inner fender rail.
  4. Remove the gusset.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 604072 Size: SH
  1. Install the left front gusset to the tie bar and inner fender rail.
  2. Hand start the fasteners in order to retain the gusset.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Tighten the fasteners in the following order:
    4. 3.1. Rearward outboard corner first
    3.2. Forward inboard corner second
    3.3. The remaining three fasteners third

    Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the upper filler panel. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Upper .
  5. Close the hood.
