Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 800570  Size: SH
  1. Position the front seats full to the forward position.
  2. Remove the console storage bin. Refer to Front Floor Console Compartment Replacement .
  3. Remove the 2 upper screws (2) from the console rear trim cover.
  4. Remove the 2 console to floor bolts (1).

  5. Object Number: 800567  Size: SH

    Important: The lower screws (1) are hidden under the carpeted side trim panels at the rear of the console on both sides.

  6. Pull the rear edge of the carpeting back on the console side trim panel near the edge of the auxiliary air outlet deflectors in order to expose the lower screws (1).
  7. Remove the 2 lower trim cover screws (1).

  9. Partially remove the floor console rear trim cover (3).
  10. Disconnect the cigar lighter electrical connector (1).
  11. Remove the rear HVAC control lamp (2).
  12. Using needle nose pliers, disconnect the rear HVAC auxiliary blower control electrical connector (4), located behind the HVAC duct attached to the rear console trim cover (3).

  14. Remove the floor console rear trim cover (1).

  15. Object Number: 717379  Size: SH
  16. Remove the screws securing the auxiliary HVAC duct to the rear console trim cover.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 717379  Size: SH
  1. Install the auxiliary HVAC duct to the rear console trim cover.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  3. Partially install the floor console rear trim cover (1) to the floor console.
  4. Using needle nose pliers, connect the rear HVAC blower control electrical connector (4), located behind the HVAC duct.
  5. Connect the cigar lighter electrical connector (1).
  6. Install the rear HVAC control lamp (2).

  7. Object Number: 800570  Size: SH
  8. Install the 2 console to floor bolts (1).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  10. Install the 2 upper screws (2) from the console rear trim cover.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  12. Install the 2 lower console trim cover screws (1).
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  14. Reposition the side trim panel carpeting to cover the lower console trim cover screws.
  15. Install the console storage bin. Refer to Front Floor Console Compartment Replacement .
  16. Reposition the front seats.
