Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 643036  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the seat back trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  3. Remove the module bracket fasteners.
  4. Lower the module bracket to the rear compartment floor.
  5. Disconnect the Global Positioning System (GPS) antenna coaxial cable connector.
  6. Disengage the retainers (2) from the cable and the antenna base.
  7. Slide the locating tab on the antenna from the rear shelf.
  8. Remove the (GPS) antenna (1) from the rear shelf.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the (GPS) antenna tab into the slot in the rear shelf.
  2. Secure the (GPS) antenna to the rear shelf with the retainer.
  3. Secure the cable (2) to the rear shelf.
  4. Connect the Global Positioning System (GPS) antenna coaxial cable connector.
  5. Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Install the module bracket assembly to the seat back panel.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the fasteners.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 9 N·m (89 lb in).

  10. Install the seat back trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  11. Close the rear compartment lid.
