Removal Procedure

  1. Open the passenger door.

  2. Object Number: 657724  Size: SH
  3. Remove the fasteners (3) in order to disengage the insulator panel (1) from the lower instrument panel.

  4. Object Number: 657723  Size: SH
  5. Lower the insulator panel and disconnect the electrical connector.
  6. Pull the insulator panel rearward in order to remove.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 657724  Size: SH
  1. Position the insulator panel (1) to the retainer studs (2) below the instrument panel.
  2. Connect the electrical connector.
  3. Push the insulator panel forward in order to secure to the retainer studs.
  4. Important: Ensure all hanging electrical connections are pushed forward in order to prevent any interference with the insulator panel.

  5. Push forward the electrical connections.
  6. Lift the insulator panel upward.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the fasteners (3) to the insulator panel.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  10. Close the passenger door.
