For 1990-2009 cars only
Using a Scan Tool
- Go to the special functions heading in the scan tool.
- Select Clutch Reset Procedure.
- When the Clutch Reset Procedure is initiated you should hear the motor engage, at the same time view the Clutch Motor Learned Position Voltage on the scan tool it should go to 0.6 volts and back to 0 volts indicating a successful learn procedure.
Using the transfer case shift control switch
- Place the switch into the AWD mode.
- Turn the switch clockwise past 4 low into the neutral request mode and hold for 30 seconds.
- After 30 seconds immediately turn the switch back into the AWD mode, an audible noise from the motor should occur indicating a successful learn procedure.
