The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
As part of our ongoing quality improvement efforts, the (EBCM) Electronic Brake Control Module (Part # 25912635, 25912640, 25801031, 25801032, 25834221, 25834219) are being put on restriction through the PQC effective Tuesday 7/22/08. The restriction is to assist GM Engineering with product quality feedback.

If working on a crossover vehicle, call Partech to obtain/verify correct part number. Partech must match the entire VIN not just the last eight digits when ordering parts. Contact TAC if diagnostic assistance is needed.
Was the vehicle brought in for a performance related problem (ex. Noise, Brake Pedal Feel, and Unwanted Braking)? Y/N
Was the vehicle primarily brought in for a Non-Brake related issue; and you found an ABS related DTC code? Y/N

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
