Preliminary Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the torsion bars. Refer to Torsion Bar and Support Assembly Replacement.

Front Suspension Torsion Bar Bushing

Procedure

1. When installing the NEW bushing, ensure that the inner slot is horizontal.
2. Using the appropriate bushing remover/installer, remove the bushing.
3. After installing the bushing, peen the bushing in three places 120 degrees apart from each other.
4. Measure the trim height. Refer to Trim Height Inspection.
