Circuit/System Description
This is an internal fault detection of the drive motor generator power inverter module (PIM) assembly. This fault is handled inside the PIM and no external circuits are involved.
Conditions for Running the DTC
The control module runs the program to detect an internal fault when the Hybrid wake-up circuit is active.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The control module has detected an internal malfunction.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
• | DTCs P0BE6, P0BE7, P0BE8, P0BEA, P0BEB, P0BEC, P0BEE, P0BEF, P0BF0, P0BF2, P0BF3, P0BF4, P0BF6, P0BF7, P0BF8, P0BFA, P0BFB and P0BFC are Type B DTCs. |
• | The PIM commands the battery energy control module (BECM) to open the high voltage contactor relays. |
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
DTCs P0BE6, P0BE7, P0BE8, P0BEA, P0BEB, P0BEC, P0BEE, P0BEF, P0BF0, P0BF2, P0BF3, P0BF4, P0BF6, P0BF7, P0BF8, P0BFA, P0BFB and P0BFC are Type B DTCs.

Circuit/System Verification
- Clear the DTC information.
- Turn the ignition OFF for 1 minute.
- Turn the ignition ON.
- Retest for DTCs P0BE6, P0BE7, P0BE8, P0BEA, P0BEB, P0BEC, P0BEE, P0BEF, P0BF0, P0BF2, P0BF3, P0BF4, P0BF6, P0BF7, P0BF8, P0BFA, P0BFB or P0BFC.
Circuit/System Testing
Program the PIM with the latest software version and recheck for DTCs.
⇒ | If the DTC resets after programming or if the PIM already contains the latest software version, replace the PIM. |
Repair Instructions
