The part and surface should be 21°C (70°F) prior to installation. The vehicle should remain 21°C (70°F) for one hour after assembly to allow adhesive to develop sufficient bond strength.
Clean area where flare will be mounted. Use a suitable solvent, such as flash naphtha or a mix of 50 percent isopropyl alcohol and 50 percent water.
Warm body panel with a
J-25070 Heat Gun
to a minimum 21°C (70°F) prior to flare installation.
Do not touch adhesive surface when tape is removed. Peel the tape liner once the flare has been installed and wet out.
