Service VME - Whistle Noise at Front of Cowl

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Some customers may state that there is a whistling noise coming from the front of the vehicle, on the driver side. The noise is most prevalent with a cross wind and speeds above 60 mph. This sound is heard above the normal air turbulence. The windshield lace on the left side may be loose. Apply a bead of urethane to the under side of the windshield lace and press down to the windshield to correct this concern.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
