The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

The satellite radio channel zero not available on certain vehicles equipped with Navigation style radios

The radio would not seek to channel 0 in order to read the satellite radio electronic serial number (ESN). The root cause is as follows:

The INR (Integrated Navigation Radio) uses seek to tune in Satellite radio channels (no tune knob).

Channel 0 does not have a category associated to it.

If the Satellite Category Seek Lock options page is turned on the INR will lock onto the first category it sees and will always seek past channel 0.

The INR comes from Delphi with the lock OFF.

Recommendation/Instructions:

The solution is to turn the Satellite radio category seek lock Off.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
