The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Technicians who are exchanging or replacing NAV radios may find that the NAV disc is damaged or stuck in the old radio. It is important that the technician does not attempt to remove any damaged or stuck discs because the ESC will return the radio to the supplier for failure analysis.
If the current disc is damaged or cannot be removed, the dealer must call an Electronic Service Center (ESC) to obtain the radio and then call the Disc Center to obtain a replacement disc. Both the radio and the disc can be shipped overnight from their respective sources upon request. The Disc Center can be reached at 1-877-NAV-DISC (1-877-628-3472).
Note: If the vehicle is being repaired under warranty, obtain the disc from the navigation disc center. The new disc will be charged to the dealership and should be claimed under warranty.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
