Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement .
2. Remove the upper rear fender bracket. Refer to Front Fender Rear Upper Bracket Replacement .
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
4. Remove the air cleaner box tray.
5. Remove the coolant reservoir bottle from the right fender and set it aside. Do not open the cooling system. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
6. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
7. Remove the right hood hinge. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement .
8. Remove the right hood link. Refer to Hood Link Replacement .
9. Remove the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side .

Fender Mounting Bolt (Qty: 3)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)

Fender Mounting Bolt (Qty: 3)

Tighten
30 N·m (22 lb ft)

Procedure

Apply threadlock compound to the bolts.
