Replacement Mirror Works Backwards - accessory drive information operation part passenger wire

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

The replacement mirror part number 88980579 (Left Mirror) and 88980580 ( Right Mirror) from GMSPO works opposite of the OEM mirrors.

If after installing the replacement mirror and the power folding feature of this mirror works in the opposite direction complete the following steps.

1. Locate the mirror side of the connector harness .
2. Switch the terminal D wire, Circuit 190 ( yellow in color) with Terminal E wire, Circuit 191 (Lt. Blue in color.)
3. This procedure would apply to both the driver and passenger door mirrors

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
