The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
A customer may comment that the interior lights are inoperative and the fuses are OK.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the interior lights do not work at all, and the fuses are OK, it is possible that the Courtesy Lamp Module needs replacement. This module is located in the I/P behind the headlamp switch. It looks like a small four legged relay with cooling fins. This module generates a PWM (Pulse Width Modulated) or variable ON time OFF time signal, to give the impression of Theater Dimming.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
