This bulletin is being issued to add the Yaw Rate Sensor/Lateral Accelerometer
Replacement procedure in the Antilock Brakes sub-section of the Service Manual.
The following information has been updated within SI2000. If you are
using a paper version of this Service Manual, please make a reference to this
bulletin on the affected page.
Removal Procedure
- Remove the passenger seat from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement
- Front Bucket.
- Pull the carpet back to gain access to the sensor.
- Remove the nuts retaining the yaw rate
sensor/lateral accelerometer (2) to the vehicle.
- Disconnect the electrical connector
from the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer.
- Remove the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Important: Use care not to bend or distort the bracket that supports the yaw rate
sensor/lateral accelerometer.
- Install the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer
to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the nuts retaining the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer
to the vehicle.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector (3)
to the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer.
- Install the carpet.
- Install the passenger seat to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement
- Bucket.
