Rear Object Alarm Module Replacement Yukon XL and Escalade ESV

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1363961  Size: SH
  1. Remove the left rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side in Interior Trim.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the module.
  3. Remove the module fasteners (1).
  4. Remove the module (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1363961  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the module (2).
  2. Install the fasteners (1).
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the module fasteners (1) to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical connector.
  5. Install the left rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side in Interior Trim.

Rear Object Alarm Module Replacement Cadillac EXT

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 814570  Size: SH
  1. Lift the left rear seat cushion up to gain access to the electronic suspension control module and rear object alarm module container.
  2. Remove the cover retainers, discard if damaged.
  3. Partially remove the container assembly from underneath the seat.
  4. Remove the cover (1) by pushing in on the tabs to release the cover.

  5. Object Number: 814571  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the rear object alarm module (2).

  7. Object Number: 1363966  Size: SH
  8. Release the tabs retaining the module to the container (2).
  9. Remove the module (1) from the container (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1363966  Size: SH
  1. Install the module (1) to the container (2).

  2. Object Number: 814571  Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the module (2).

  4. Object Number: 814570  Size: SH
  5. Install the container cover (1) and lock in place.
  6. Slid the container under the rear seat.
  7. Install the container retainers.
  8. Set the rear seat to its original position.

Rear Object Alarm Module Replacement Yukon Denali and Escalade

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1363969  Size: SH
  1. Lift the passenger second row seat cushion to gain access to the rear object detection module (2).
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the module (2).
  3. Remove the fasteners (3).
  4. Remove the module (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1363969  Size: SH
  1. Install the module (2).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.   3. Install the module fasteners (3).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the module fastener (3) to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector (1).
  6. Lower the rear seat cushion.
