Subject:Customer "Getting to Know Your Vehicle" Hang Tag and Protective Covering for Improved Customer Satisfaction

Models:2004 Cadillac Escalade

Dealers will find the Cadillac Customer "Getting to Know Your Vehicle" hang tag on the inside rearview mirror on all 2004 Escalade models. This tag explains important features of the vehicles that in the past our customers have told us are difficult to operate or understand. Your sales and service team must reinforce the operation of all features. This can be done using both the Owner's Manual and the hang tag as aids. The following features are explained on the hang tag:

    • CD Changer
    • Outside Rearview Mirror
    • Rear Windshield Wiper
    • Sunroof Operation
    • Automatic Locking Seat Belt
    • Odometer Settings

The following systems need special attention regarding their operation and function:

    • Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) and Key Fob Programming
    • Audio System (Radio and Navigation Controls)
    • Air Conditioning and Heating Controls

Once again, the vehicle's Owner's Manual can be a great help in explaining these features. It also gives you a great chance to point out to owners that all operational and functional controls are covered in the manual and they should refer to it often - it may help them avoid an unnecessary trip to the dealership.

In another step to improve customer satisfaction, protective tape has been added to various areas of the vehicle. You will find this protective covering on the following surfaces:

Exterior Surfaces

    • All four door handles
    • Painted surfaces on the outside rearview mirror and directly below it
    • Complete rear bumper fascia
    • Sides and center of the front fascia
    • Top surfaces of the left side hood and fender

Interior Surfaces

    • Left side door pad, above the armrest
    • Lower seat (to secure the plastic cover)

Important: This protective covering MUST be kept on the vehicle at all times prior to customer delivery. This protects the vehicle from chips, scratches and dirt that the customer finds unacceptable.
