When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

With the latest Tech 2 update 23.008, the Tech 2 can read the VIN stored in the DVD system. You may have replaced the DVD system, with one from the exchange center or swapped one from a stock unit, and ask how to change the VIN stored in the DVD system.

No repairs should be made; the VIN info cannot be changed in the DVD system. Having the wrong VIN stored does not affect the operation of the system.
