On May 1, 2004, we are putting certain part numbers for Northstar engines on restriction for the next 90 days.
Our analysis of returned engines indicates a significant number of these engines could have been repaired using bulletin 02-06-01-009C or 03-06-01-025 and P.I. 02006, which are in SI. Based on this analysis, we are restricting the following part numbers. Prior to contacting the PQC for an engine assembly, please ensure that your technician has reviewed these three documents. The PQC will review each assembly request with the technician against these three documents prior to approval. Please review this situation with your service personnel so they can review both bulletins and the P.I. in order to avoid any unnecessary delays on customer repairs.
