Subject:Before Fuel Pump Module Replacment-Check Ground G110

Models:.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms in the PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers may comment that their full size pickup/utility stalls, hesitates or does not start. Some dealers have been replacing the fuel module reservoir assembly to correct this condition. Prior to replacing the fuel module assembly, refer to Fuel Pump Circuit Diagnosis ( SI document number 843906 ). Ground G110 has sometimes been found to be loose. While Bulletin # 04-05-25-002A refers to loss of communication with Brake Module, a similar situation appears to be causing unnecessary replacement of the fuel module assembly, where the G110 ground may be loose.
