POWER ANTENNA SERVICE NEW MINI-MAST ANTENNA

POWER ANTENNA SERVICE PARTS ORDERING INFORMATION

The chart on the reverse side identifies the parts required to service all Cadillacs using slimline or mini-mast power antenna assemblies. The information included in this bulletin is more complete than that presented in Serviceman Bulletin 83-33, so use the information provided here and discard Serviceman Bulletin 83-33.

The current production mini-mast power antenna was introduced during the 1982 model year. Mini-mast (23mm diameter mast tube) components are to be used to service all slimline (29mm diameter mast tube) as well as mini-mast power antennas back to the 1979 model year. When a replacement antenna package or mast and tube assembly is ordered, the additional parts listed in the chart must also be obtained in order to adapt the service kits to the particular vehicle.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
