HARNESS CONNECTOR REPAIR KIT INFORMATION. Cadillac Fleetwood 1983

MODELS AFFECTED: 1983-1984 ELDORADO AND SEVILLE 1983-1984 DEVILLE AND FLEETWOOD BROUGHAM 1985 FLEETWOOD AND DEVILLE

Beginning immediately, Cadillac and Packard Electric are making available a service connector repair kit through GMWDD. Tbey are packaged by component system and are available for all 1985 FWD Deville and Fleetwood models and most otber 1983 through 1984 Cadillac vehicles.

Each kit is packaged with one or more connectors for a given car system(s). Each connector comes complete with terminals, attached pigtail leads, and electrical splices. The pigtailleads are color keyed to match the original wiring color in the car to facilitate installation, unless otherwise stated on instruction sheet contained with kit. Whenever a connector is replaced, the wires to the old connector should be cut close to the connector. The service connector should be spliced into the harness with the colors matching unless instructed otherwise to assure proper electrical connection. Refer to the appropriate model year Electrical Troubleshooting Manual for wiring repair procedures.
