A JUNE REVISION TO THE 1983 LABOR TIME GUIDE MICROFICHE HAS BEEN PUBLISHED. ALL TIME CHANGES, TEXT CHANGES, AND NEW OPERATIONS ARE "FLAGGED" WITH CHANGE INDICATORS AS DESCRIBED IN THE LABOR TIME GUIDE FOREWARD (FRAME A-3). ALL PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED 1983 LABOR TIME GUIDE REVISIONS SHOULD BE DISCARDED AND REPLACED WITH THIS (6/83) REVISION WHICH SUPERSEDES THEM. DEALERS SHOULD RECEIVE THIS REVISION BY JUNE 17.
THE "PANEL REPAIRS" SECTION (OPERATIONS A9040-A9957) OF THE LABOR TIME GUIDE HAS BEEN CHANGED. THE TIME ALLOWANCES FOR THESE OPERATIONS WHICH WERE ESTIMATED AND DID NOT INCLUDE PAINTING, ARE NOW BASED ON A WARRANTY AVERAGE TIME WITH PAINT TIME AND MATERIAL ALLOWANCE INCLUDED.
DURING THE MONTHS OF MARCH AND APRIL, WE RECEIVED 75 REQUEST FOR REVIEW LETTERS - 54 IN MARCH AND 21 IN APRIL. OF THESE REQUESTS, 28% RESULTED IN A TIME ALLOWANCE "INCREASE" AND 16% RESULTED IN A "NEW OPERATION" BEING ADDED TO THE LABOR TIME GUIDE. THE MOST ACTIVE ZONE WAS CLEVELAND WHO SUBMITTED 21% OF THESE REQUESTS.
THE "HONORARY MENTION AWARD" GOES TO JACK KENT CADILLAC IN ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO. THEIR REQUEST RESULTED IN A NEW 325-4L TRANSMISSION MANUAL SHAFT AND PARKING PAWL OPERATION. THIS NEW OPERATION K6640 "PAWL, SHAFT, ROD OR SPRING, PARKING - REPLACE", WITH A TIME ALLOWANCE OF 4.0 HOURS, IS INCLUDED IN THE JUNE REVISION.
