HARRISON RADIATOR FIELD RETURN PROGRAM WITH HR6 COMPRESSOR

MODELS AFFECTED: 1988 DEVILLE, ELDORADO, SEVILLE AND ALLANTE

Harrison Radiator Division has requested Cadillac's participation in a 100% field return program on the new HR-6 air conditioning compressor. The purpose of this program is to readily identify field product conditions and implement corrective action.

Service on the HR-6 compressor, part number 12329563, will be limited to replacement only and return to Harrison Radiator Division until further notice. All dealers, including those in other parts return programs, are requested to participate in this field return program. This program takes precedence over all other parts return programs.

All compressors are to be accompanied by a copy of the Repair Order containing the VIN, mileage, reason for replacement, and other pertinent service information. For the convenience of the dealer, a return label is included in all replacement compressor cartons, with the following address:

For warranty purposes, use Labor Operations D4440 with the time listed below for each model, with a ADD time of .5 hour to discharge/charge A/C system, and .2 "Other Hours" as administrative allowance for processing compressor returns. Zone authorization will not be required for compressor replacement under this return program.
