GOLD KEY NEW VEHICLE CLAIMS PROCEDURE

This Bulletin supersedes DSIB 88-I-3. In the "NOTE" below, the telephone extension for Helm Inc. and the last sentence has been changed.

All 1988 Cadillac vehicles are being shipped with a seated package of Gold Key materials in the trunk. It is essential that dealers inspect all new 1988 vehicles for the Gold Key package. In the event the package is missing and/or incomplete (e.g., opened with keys missing), the following procedures must be strictly adhered to:

A. Delivery recelpt must be coded 98086 with a notation "Gold Keys missing", "Gold Key Package missing", etc.

B. Replacement packages and/or materials can be obtained from Gold Key Headquarters by calling 1-800-554-7600 and ordering from the following selection:

NOTE: Only requests associated with transportation loss or an incorrect Owner's Manual should be directed to Gold Key headquarters. All other requests for current or past model owner's literature should be directed, as in the past, to Helm Inc., P.O. Box 07130, Detroit, MI 48207 or call 1-313-865-5000, Ext. 263, or through the new Cadillac Dealer Merchandising, Stationery and Publications Catalog Order form. Owner's Manuals are available through Gold Key Headquarters for 1988. Materials for transportation claims will be billed to deaters at the above prices. Submit transportation ctaims for these amounts in the manner described in this bulletin. Incorrect materials will be replaced at no charge, and no claim is to be filed. Complete Gold Key packages will include a Warranty and Owner Assistance Information Booklet. However, replacement of individual Vehicle and Owner Information Cards may be ordered only through your Zone Office.

C. Submit a transportation claim for missing packages, keys or other items per the above list in the following manner:

* Net Amount equal to the cost of the ordered item(s) from B above.

NOTE: Each order carries a $4.00 fixed drop ship and handling charge as well as UPS postage charges. These charges are not to be included on the transportation claim. Credit for these charges must be submitted via a separate postage reimbursement claim (Claim Type F). Refer to your Warranty and Transportation Claim Preparation Manual (Sec. 4, page 38) for complete procedures on how to submit a claim for postage reimbursement.
