MODELS AFFECTED: 1990 BROUGHAMS WITH 5.7L TBI ENGINE

Some 1990 Broughams with the 5.7L TBI engine may experience a Service Engine Soon light (SES) with a code 43 or any one of the following driveability conditions:

Tip-In Sag Tip-In Hesitation Surge at WOT Spark Detonation When Cold

To repair this condition a service PROM has been developed and is available through GMSPO. Service Emission Service PROM Broadcast Vehicle System P/N I.D. Code

1990 Brougham Fed/Calif 16151357 0521 AUJJ

*ECM PROM I.D. can be read with a scan tool connected to the ALDL connector.

If code is still present, refer to Section 6E2 for diagnosis.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

For warranty purposes use Labor Operation T0500 at .6 hour.
