DRIVEABILITY IMPROVEMENTS NEW CALIBRATION PROM

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1990 CADILLAC D-CAR WITH L05 (5.7L V8 TBI ENGINE)

Condition:

Some owners of 1990 Broughams equipped with the 5.7L (VIN 7) V8 engine, may experience a "Service Engine Soon" light or have driveability concerns. These concerns may be in the form of:

1. tip-in sag, 2. hesitation, 3. slight engine noise cold, or 4. "Service Engine Soon" light Code 43 (ESC).

Cause:

These concerns have been addressed in a new PROM that specifically refines spark control tables and ESC functional testing.
