SUBJECT: HEAD RESTRAINT POSITION UNCOMFORTABLE (NEW HEAD RESTRAINT)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1993 CADILLAC FLEETWOOD BROUGHAM "D" MODEL WITH RPO AM5

APPLICATION: 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham (RWD)

CONDITION:

Some owners of 1993 Fleetwood Broughams (RWD) (before VIN 718086) with seat option RPO AM5, may comment that the head restraint with manual articulation cannot be adjusted to a comfortable position. The usual comment is that the restraint is too far forward even at the most rearward position.

CAUSE:

This is due to the design of the head restraint posts.

CORRECTION:

To repair this condition new head restraints with redesigned posts are now available. Order parts based on the following information:

NOTE: In order to maintain consistency in design appearance, both passenger and driver restraints should be replaced at the same time.
