IF A CONDITION IS ENCOUNTERED WHERE THE DOOR WINDOW SWITCH PLATE RETAINER AND/OR CLIP IS BROKEN, IT MAY BE REPAIRED AS FOLLOWS: 1. REMOVE SWITCH PLATE FROM DOOR ARMREST ASSEMBLY. 2. CLAMP SWITCH PLATE FACE DOWN IN VISE. NOTICE: CENTER SWITCH PLATE BETWEEN TWO (2) PIECES OF WOOD TO AVOID DAMAGING SWITCH PLATE FINISH. 3. FILE OR GRIND RETAINER ATTACHING STUD(S) UNTIL SMOOTH. 4. CENTER PUNCH SWITCH PLATE STUD(S) PRIOR TO DRILLING. 5. USING A 3/32" (2.75MM) DRILL WITH A DRILL STOP SET AT 9/32" (7MM), DRILL HOLE(S) AT LOCATIONS SHOWN IN FIG. 1. 6. INSTALL RETAINER AND/OR CLIP WITH A SELF-TAPPING PANHEAD #4 MACHINE SCREW(S) AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 1. 7. CONNECT WIRING AND INSTALL SWITCH PLATE TO DOOR ARMREST. 8. CHECK SWITCH FOR PROPER OPERATION.
