1986 and 1987 DeVilles and Fleetwoods with the Anti-Lock Brake System (option JM4) use coaxial cable for the front and rear wheel speed sensor harness. Two new service kits have been released for replacement of these harnesses.
- GMSPO P/N 12058538 includes a section of coaxial cable with appropriate pins and terminals on each end. This kit should be used when replacement of a front wheel speed sensor harness (from the wheel speed sensor connector to the Electronic Brake Control Module) is required.
- Similarly, GMSPO P/N 12058539 includes a section of coaxial cable with pins and connectors. This kit should be used for replacement of either rear wheel speed sensor harness.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
