This bulletin is written to inform Cadillac dealers of improved processing of cores by GMSPO. Parts & Accessories Information Bulletin No. 93 - 80 from GMSPO outlining all the particulars of this process will be mailed to dealers on June 1, 1993. The improved process illustrates Cadillac's and GMSPO's commitment to both respond and resolve issues surfaced by Cadillac's National Service Managers' Council and GM Parts National Dealer Advisory Council.
The new process will reduce GMSPO and dealer investment in cores, speed credit, and improve availability. To accomplish these desirable results, effective June 1, 1993 dealers with Rapid/Rapid Plus capability are urged to make application to return all cores on a daily basis, unless warranty considerations dictate otherwise. IT IS CRITICAL THAT APPLICATION BE MADE ON THE SAME DAY THE FAILED PART IS REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE.
Following the procedure to make applications for exchange returns daily will greatly reduce processing time.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
