BACK WINDOW MANUAL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURE OMITTED

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1986 SEDAN DE VILLE

This bulletin contains the back window garnish moulding removal and installation procedure on 1986 Sedan De Villes which was inadvertently omitted from the 1986 Body Service Manual.

REMOVAL: Remove the following components as listed in the 1986 Body Service Manual.

1. Remove rear seat cushion. 2. Remove rear seat back cushion. 3. Remove quarter upper trim panels. 4. Remove back window garnish moulding. 5. Remove centre high level stop lamp and bracket. 6. Remove rear seat to back window trim. 7. Remove rear compartment front panel. 8. Remove 13 nuts securing back window reveal moulding to retainer assemblies and remove back window reveal moulding (Figure 1).

INSTALLATION: Install components as listed in the 1986 Body Service Manual.

1. Position back window reveal moulding and install retaining nuts (Figure 1). 2. Install rear compartment front panel. 3. Install rear seat to back window trim. 4. Replace centre high level stop lamp and bracket. 5. Install back window garnish moulding. 6. Install rear seat back cushion. 7. Install rear seat cushion.
