Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2008 🢒 SLS 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls and Fuel - 2.8L, 3.0L, 3.2L, or 3.6L 🢒 Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Intake

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1285235 Size: SH
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Remove the front compartment sight shields as necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement .
  3. Remove the ECM and the ECM bracket. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) actuator valve electrical connector.

    5. Object Number: 1285237 Size: SH
  5. Remove the CMP actuator valve bolts.
  6. Remove the CMP actuator valve.
  7. Inspect the CMP actuator valve seal for damage. Replace the seal if necessary.

Installation Procedure
  1. Inspect the CMP actuator valve seal for damage. Replace the seal if necessary.

    2. Object Number: 1285237 Size: SH
  2. Install the CMP actuator valve.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the CMP actuator valve bolt.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the camshaft position sensor bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the CMP actuator valve electrical connector.
  5. Install the ECM and the ECM bracket. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
  6. Install the front compartment sight shields as necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement
