Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2008 🢒 SLS 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.8L, 3.0L, 3.2L, or 3.6L 🢒 Oil Filter Adapter Installation

  1. Position a NEW oil filter adapter gasket onto the oil filter adapter.

    2. Object Number: 902879 Size: SH
  2. Install the oil filter adapter bolts (1, 2) into the oil filter adapter.
  3. Loosely tighten the oil filter adapter bolts (1, 2).
  4. Install and loosely tighten the oil filter adapter bolt (3) into the oil filter adapter.

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Tighten the oil filter adapter bolts (1, 2, 3) into the engine block in the sequence shown.

    6. Tighten

        • Tighten the oil filter adapter bolts (1, 2) in sequence to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
        • Tighten the oil adapter bolts (3) in sequence to 65 N·m(48 lb ft).

  6. Install a NEW oil filter cartridge.

    7. Object Number: 1306505 Size: SH
  7. Lubricate the oil filter cap threads with clean engine oil.

    8. Object Number: 945902 Size: SH
  8. Install the oil filter cap.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter cap to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
