Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement for Cadillac SLS 2008

1. Remove the front compartment sight shield as necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement .
2. Remove the oil level indicator.
3. Loosen the oil level indicator tube bolt.
4. Pull the oil level indicator tube from the crankcase.

1. Replace the oil level indicator tube O-ring.
2. Install the oil level indicator tube.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

3. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

4. Install the oil level indicator.
5. Install the front compartment sight shield as necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement .
