The electronic brake control module (EBCM) receives invalid information from other modules through serial data bus. The EBCM will set the DTC according to this information.
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTCs:
• | DTC C0249 Left Normal Force Error |
• | DTC CO250 Right Normal Force Error |

71 | The received serial data is invalid |
• | The ignition is ON. |
• | Ignition voltage is greater than 8 volts. |
The EBCM receives invalid information from other modules.
• | The EBCM operates normal. |
• | The Antilock Brake System (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS), and Brake indicator remain OFF. |
• | The condition for the DTC is no longer present and the DTC is cleared with a scan tool. |
• | The EBCM automatically clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles. |
This DTC is for information only. As an aid to the technician, this DTC indicates that there are no problems in the ABS/TCS System.
