Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle

1. Install a scan tool.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. Read current personalization setting for the automatic door locks. Refer to Personalization Description and Operation for a description of door lock mode functions.
4. Close all of the vehicle doors.
5. Shift the gear selector out of PARK.
6. Shift the gear selector into PARK.
7. Turn OFF the ignition switch.

Do the power door locks operate as expected selected mode?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

With the scan tool, observe each Door Open Switch parameter in each door control module data list.

Does the scan tool indicate that the Door Open Switch parameter is in the Closed state for all doors?

Go to Step 4

Go to Courtesy Lamps Always On

Check for poor connections at the harness connector of the rear integration module (RIM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Important:: The Automatic Door Locks personalization mode must be reset following RIM replacement. Refer to Personalization Description and Operation .

Replace the RIM. Refer to Control Module References .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 6

Operate the system to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
