Preliminary Procedure

Open the rear compartment lid.
Remove the rear compartment lid inner panel trim assembly. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim, Lid, Latch, Strut, Hinge Replacement in Body Rear End.

Tip

•	If only replacing the bulb, turn bulb socket assembly and pull out of the lamp assembly. This can be done from the inside of the rear compartment lid without removing the lamp from the vehicle.

•	Release the retaining clips and pull out to remove the lamp assembly.

•	Push the lamp assembly inward until it is securely fastened.
