Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1198246 Size: SH

    Important: The steering column is removed with the upper intermediate shaft attached.

  1. Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement.
  2. Remove the intermediate shaft seal from the mod plate.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1198246 Size: SH
  1. Install the intermediate shaft seal to the mod plate, ensuring the seal between the intermediate shaft seal and mod plate.
  2. Install the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement.
  3. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 .
