Caution: An assistant should drive the vehicle while the technician checks for the location of the reported condition. Otherwise, personal injury could result.

Interior wind noise is not heard when the window is lowered. Interior wind noise is produced due to the result when air passes through the sealing or seam and escapes from inside the vehicle.

  1. Use tapes to cover pressure release valve, and accordingly produce more air pressure inside the vehicle.
  2. Conduct road test to the vehicle to determine if the wind noise or wind whistle occurs.
  3. Pull the vehicle over and make the temporary repairs using masking tape. If you cannot determine the source of the wind noise, perform one or more of the following diagnostic tests:
  4. • Tracing Powder or Chalk Test
    • Air Pressure Test
    • Soap Suds or Bubble Test
