When the switch is closed, the trunk release switch supplies ground input to the DDSA. Upon receiving the important release switch requirement, this input allows DDSA for inspection
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC B2730 Trunk Release Switch Circuit
The DDSA communicates detects the failure for 60 consecutive seconds.
The DDSA stores DTC B2730 in the memory.
• | The DDSA does not detect the failure in the liftgate release switch signal circuit any longer. |
• | The history DTC will clear once 100 consecutive ignition cycles have occurred, if no failure exists. |
• | The scan tool used for clearing the history and current DTCs. |
The malfunction cause may be intermittent. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections.
