Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2009 🢒 SLS 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls and Fuel - 2.8L, 3.0L, 3.2L, or 3.6L 🢒 Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Exhaust

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1285201 Size: SH
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Remove the front compartment sight shield, if necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement.
  3. Remove the ECM and the ECM bracket. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement.
  4. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) actuator valve electrical connector.

    5. Object Number: 1285202 Size: SH
  5. Remove the CMP actuator valve bolts.
  6. Remove the CMP actuator valve.
  7. Inspect the CMP actuator valve seal for damage. Replace components if necessary.

Installation Procedure
  1. Inspect the CMP actuator valve seal for damage. Replace components if necessary.

    2. Object Number: 1285202 Size: SH
  2. Install the CMP actuator valve.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the CMP actuator valve bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 1285201 Size: SH
  4. Connect the CMP valve electrical connector.
  5. Install the ECM and the ECM bracket. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement.
  6. Install the front compartment sight shields as necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement
