Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2009 🢒 SLS 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.8L, 3.0L, 3.2L, or 3.6L 🢒 Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Exhaust

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1285253 Size: SH
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Remove the front compartment sight shields as necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement.
  3. Remove the ECM and the ECM bracket. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement.
  4. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.

    5. Object Number: 1285252 Size: SH
  5. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
  6. Remove the CMP sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1285252 Size: SH
  1. Install the CMP sensor.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the CMP sensor bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 1285253 Size: SH
  3. Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
  4. Install the ECM and the ECM bracket. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement.
  5. Install the front compartment sight shields as necessary. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement.
