Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle

Are any indicators/messages displayed in the DIC?

Go to Symptoms - Displays and Gages

Go to Step 3

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Turn the parklamp and headlamp switch to OFF.
3. Remove the keyfob from inside the vehicle.
4. Close the driver door.

Does the chime sound?

Go to Step 4

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

1. Install a scan tool.
2. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF.
3. With a scan tool and the driver door open, observe the Door Ajar parameter in the DDM data list

Does the scan tool Door Ajar parameter display DOOR AJAR?

Go to Step 5

Go to Symptoms - Doors

With the scan tool, observe the parklamp and the headlamp switch parameter in the IPM data list.

Does the parklamp and the headlamp switch parameter display OFF?

Go to Step 6

Go to Symptoms - Lighting Systems

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the audio amplifier. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Replace the audio amplifier. Refer to Control Module References for replacement, setup and programming.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
