J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

Note: It is not necessary to discharge the refrigerant from the A/C system during auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler (TOC) replacement.

Remove the A/C condenser mounting bolts and reposition the condenser.
1. Reposition the condenser to access the auxiliary transmission oil cooler. Refer to Air Conditioning Condenser Replacement.
2. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler (TOC) lines from the TOC.
3. Disconnect the TOC line from the TOC retainer clip (1).



4. Remove the TOC mounting bolts.
5. Remove the TOC.

1. Install the TOC

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the transmission oil cooler mounting bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 5 N·m (44  lb in).




3. Connect the TOC lines to the TOC.

Tighten
Tighten the fittings to 20 N·m (15  lb in).

4. Connect the TOC line to the TOC retainer clip (1).
5. Reposition and reinstall the condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Condenser Replacement.
