J 36796 Clip Zip Clip Removal Tool

1. Lower the window. Use a flat-bladed tool to pry the door inner handle bezel cover to expose the screws.
2. Use a flat-bladed tool to insert under the armrest trim cover and pry the trim cover to expose the screws.



3. Remove the door inner trim panel screws.
4. Use J 36796 to loose the retainers around the edges of the door trim plate.
5. Pull the door trim panel up and out of the door.



6. Disconnect the electrical connector.

1. Connect the electrical connectors
2. Position the electrical connector and door trim panel according to the positioning bench.
3. Apply pressure to the door trim panel to lock the tab.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




4. Install the door trim panel screw.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

5. Install the door handle bezel cover.



6. Install the armrest trim covers.
