Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Replacement for Cadillac SRX 2007

1. Remove the auxiliary evaporator from the auxiliary HVAC module. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Replacement .
2. Remove the auxiliary thermal expansion valve (TXV) assembly bolts.
3. Remove the auxiliary TXV from the auxiliary evaporator.
4. Remove and discard the O-rings.

1. Install new O-rings to the auxiliary TXV assembly. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .



2. Install the auxiliary TXV to the evaporator.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the auxiliary TXV bolts to the auxiliary evaporator.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 3.5 N·m (31 lb in).

4. Install the auxiliary evaporator to the auxiliary HVAC module. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Replacement .
